Radar’s Halloween Party IS ON!

Despite folding on Friday, Radar Magazine’s planned Halloween party at the new club Citrine is still on for Thursday.

According to a spokeswoman, “The theme will still be ‘Vampires and Victims,’ but with an oh-so-appropriate ‘funeral’ spin.” (WWD)

Breaking News: Radar Shutting Down

A source at Radar has just confirmed to the New York Observer that the magazine is closing up shop, and that everyone has to clear their desks out by the end of the day.

The Observer  is also reporting that the web site has been sold to AMI and will become a competitor to TMZ.com.

Maer Roshan introduced Radar for the first time in 2003; it folded after two issues after running out of money. He relaunched it as a bimonthly in 2005 but closed it later that same year after three issues. He then resurrected it for a third time in 2007.

Stay tuned for more details.

RADAR COVERS THE ONE, THE ONLY, PAM ANDERSON

Pam’s still got it…as you can see by the latest cover from Radar.

For your Friday reading pleasure, I’ve pulled out one of the funnier moments in the interview:

Radar: You don’t seem relaxed now.

Pam: It’s because I’m wearing a really small dress.

Radar: Really?

Pam: And because you’re asking me some stupid questions.

Ouch.

Radar continues: To be fair, the poor thing probably did feel trapped, and some of the questions were perhaps stupid.

newsweekmichelle.jpg

Michelle Obama’s (seen on this recent issue of Newsweek) “overt mimicry [of Jackie O is totally unprecedented,” says Carl Sferrazza Anthony, who’s authored 10 books on various first ladies and spoke to Radar magazine.

Is this the campaign’s strategy?

PASETSKY’S COVER CRITIQUE

Just hitting newsstands, here’s Maer Roshan’s latest issue of Radar.

Hysterical!

It’s Maddox and Suri like we’ve never seen them before.

Maddox is holding a copy of Life & Style, which asks “Where’s Suri?”

Tom & Katie Cruise should thank Maddox for finding her!

Why can’t the celeb weeklies come up with concepts like this one?

RADAR UPDATES ITS RIVETING SCIENTOLOGY STORY

radar.JPG

Scientology is spreading!

And Maer Roshan’s Radar is all over  it.  The Church recently acquired a 64,000 square-foot castle in Johannesburg.

“For all African Scientologists, this is a dream finally come true,” a Church official said of the purchase. “It means a lot for the future expansion of the Church in Africa.”
