Pasetsky’s Cover Critique

My first reaction is WOW!

What a great photo of Ellen Pompeo.

She has never looked better on a cover!

I don’t like that EW used the name of the show as the headline but this photo is such a winner it doesn’t matter.

And I agree - the show is getting good again after what felt like a long-lull.

What do you think?

TOUGH TIMES AT ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY

Entertainment Weekly’s is hurting, according to the New York Post.

Sure, people like Tina Fey, but this soft feature only sold about 20,000 copies on the newsstand.

EW’s response, “We’re not a newsstand-driven magazine,” said publisher Scott Donaton.

WHY TINA FEY REGRETS BAD MOUTHING PARIS HILTON

Tina Fey finds it hard to stay out of the spotlight thanks to her brutal honesty!

The new Entertainment Weekly reminds us of when Fey “famously called SNL host Paris Hilton uncooperative and a “piece of sh*t” on the Howard Stern Show.

Fey says, “I should really strive to have better manners about those things.  Pretty soon my kid’s going to understand what I’m saying and be able to access it on the computer.”

TINA FEY’S BEST ACTING SKILLS ARE…

Starring in the new movie ‘Baby Mama,’ Tina Fey “still won’t have more than ‘four moves as an actress,” she tells the new issue of Entertainment Weekly.

“Eye-rolling; the ability to eat food on camera in real time; I think I’m a decent straight man.  Do I have a fourth move?  Um, unpleasant dancing,” says Fey.

TINA FEY TALKS ABOUT THAT HILLARY CLINTON SKIT ON SNL!

The phrase “Bitch is the new black” is now part of the country’s political lexicon, according to the new issue of Entertainment Weekly.

After the now famous skit where she uttered that phrase, “Fay was crowned Hillary’s No. 1 Fan - a title she wasn’t ready to accept.”

“It was a weird position because I wasn’t comfortable, but then I felt bad, like, ‘I do think she’s a very smart woman.  I should be fine with it.”

Fey now declines to reveal which candidate she supports.

ELLEN IMITATES JOHNNY CARSON ON COVER OF ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY

ellen-cover.JPG

Ellen continues to get selected by editors to be on their covers.

From First to Modern Dog to the new Entertainment Weekly.

As her popularity soars (past Oprah), will she sell on the newsstand?

Is there an Ellen magazine on the horizon?  If Tye Pennington got one, why shouldn’t Ellen?
