MUSIC GROUP HEART TO RNC: Stop Using Our Song!
Heart, artists of the song Barracuda, which was played for Sarah Palin during the RNC, are not happy about the song being used.
In an e-mail statement the group states: “The Republican campaign did not ask for permission to use the song, nor would they have been granted that permission. We have asked the Republican campaign publicly not to use our music. We hope our wishes will be honored.”
Sounds like a reasonable request. Too bad it wasn’t granted!

John McCain’s campaign threatened legal action against the National Enquirer today for running this story about McCain’s running mate, Sarah Palin, allegedly having an affair with her husband’s business partner.
“The smearing of the Palin family must end. The allegations contained on the cover of the National Enquirer insinuating that Gov. Palin had an extramarital affair are categorically false. It is a vicious lie,” said McCain senior adviser Steve Schmidt. “The efforts of the media and tabloids to destroy this fine and accomplished public servant are a disgrace. The American people will reject it.”
