As you’ve noticed, vampires are so hot right now. So, naturally, it’s Entertainment Weekly’s job to ask the tough questions. Why? and Who’s The Best Vampire Of Them All?

The latest issue of EW interviews vampire writers and the creators of these vampire shows and tries to make sense of it all.  Anne Rice says she thinks the public is so taken with vampires because we want to be them.

“People are intrigued by what they would do if they were offered the opportunity to be a vampire,” she says. “ Would they be willing to drink human blood in order to be immortal? Maybe they would.”

Meanwhile, Alan Ball, c0-executive producer of True Blood, thinks the show is so popular because of it’s political undertones expressing the “eight years of institutionalized demonization of pretty much any group that wasn’t on the bus with Mr. Bush.”

And if you could honestly care less why you’re obsessed with Robert Pattinson, the magazine includes their top 20 Greatest Vampires.

Robert Pattinson was greeted at JFK airport this morning by a very overeager fan.

Although Robert claims to be scared of American girls and their shriek-y, stalkerish ways he was very polite with the one and even gave her a hug.

Megan Fox admits she’d like to devour Robert Pattinson. And no — not the candy bar version — but the real man. Why?

“I would eat Rob Pattinson so that I could steal some of that pretty,” she said. “I just wanna be pretty like he’s pretty. I want that James Dean, that sexy-ass hair.”

Yikes. We’d say Megan Fox might be scarier than those legions of screaming girls Rob is so terrified of.

It’s Thursday — do you know where Robert Pattinson is?

We do. RPattz is in San Diego at Comic-Con to promote New Moon and attend the sold-out special screening of Twilight Experience.

He won’t be alone either. The often fame-shy star will be flanked by 2,450 of this biggest fans.

Daniel Radcliffe doesn’t give himself enough credit. The Harry Potter star told usmagazine.com at the New York City opening of Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince that he doesn’t find himself terribly sexy.

“Rob Pattinson is a sex symbol. Rob Pattinson is a genuine sexy guy. He’s got the height. If girls like short and nerdy, then I’m a sex symbol!”

Regardless, Radcliffe considers himself “fairly romantic” in his own life. “It’s always really long and involved. It involves a trail of notes!”
