Running for vice president of the United States and losing is close to paying off big time for Sarah Palin.

According to MSNBC, Sarah Palin is moving closer to inking a book deal that could earn her nearly $7 million, yes, $7 million.

In Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned Alaska’s Political Establishment Upside Down, author Kaylene Johnson—who grew up down the road from Palin’s home—details Palin’s rise to power, growing from Sarah Heath, an ambitious, competitive—and sometimes stubborn—child, to the state’s first female governor and one of the country’s most popular politicians.
