vanity-fair.jpg

It’s about time the ”Queens of Comedy” got a little respect from non-other than Vanity Fair.  The issue is an answer to Chris Hitchens’  “Why Women Aren’t Funny Article,” that ran in the magazine previously.  Writer Alessandra Stanley offers a rebuttal along with several female commedians.

Annie Liebowitz photographs a dozen of the “wittiest dames in showbiz,” including  Sandra Bernhard, Susie Essman, Tina Fey, Jenna Fischer, Chelsea Handler, Leslie Mann, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Amy Sedaris, Sarah Silverman, Wanda Sykes and Kristen Wiig.
