Eliot Spitzer’s Hooker First Interview: ‘I’m Sorry for Your Pain Silda’

People Magazine lands the first interview with Eliot Spitzer’s hooker Ashlee Dupre and shared the exclusive with today’s New York Post.

Here are some of the highlights:

Sorry to Silda

“I try not to revisit that place too often, but when I think about his speech, I think of her face, her eyes, the hurt,” the former high-priced hooker told People magazine in an interview that hits newsstands Friday.

If she could say anything to Silda Wall Spitzer, it would be, “I’m sorry for your pain.”

The Debate Rages ON! Why the F$%K Did Silda Go To Another Press Conference?

We all know that Elliot Spitzer resigned.  He slept with hookers for years.   OK, we get it.

What I don’t get is why, why, why would Silda go to yet another painful press conference?

She looked like she’s in pain and would rather be dead than there.

Would you stand next to your spouse if he/she did what Gov. Spitzer did?

Why Would You Put Your Wife Through Such a Public Humiliation???

The cover of the New York Times will be one of thousands of news outlets featuring the Governor of New York, Elliot Spitzer,  accompanied by his wife Silda in one of the most embarrassing press conferences in recent memory.

“The Governor was a client of a high-end prostitution ring broken up last week by federal authorities, according to law enforcement officials, a development that threatened to end his career and turned the state’s political world upside down,” as reported by the New York Times.

What’s worse?  He made had his wife Silda stand by his side during this press conference.  She looks totally stunned and stonefaced at the same time, which is not surprising.   If I were her, I would have clobbered him over the head at the press conference!

I’m all for the whole for “better or worse” thing but I don’t believe Silda should have been placed in this position.  Gov. Spitzer should have insisted that his wife not stand by his side during this public embarrassment.  She had nothing to do with it and in a way he’s using her to show that they are “unified” and to prove he’s not such a bad husband.
