By now you’ve heard of Sue Simmons unfortunate on-air gaffe when she dropped the f-bomb.

Now the New York Post is reporting that perhaps Sue had a few drinks before going on-air.

According to the Post, “Simmons is famous for her liquid dinners between broadcasts, potty mouth and zany behavior,” said former co-workers.

Simmons’ meltdown was compared to former Channel 2 reporter Arthur Chi’en, who was dumped in 2005 after dropping an f-bomb on live TV.

Chi’en said, “I feel for her, as someone who has gone down that path,” and he hopes Simmons isn’t fired.

While teasing a story about rising food prices, veteran WNBC news anchor Sue Simmons (seen above with Chuck Scarborough) ”stopped in mid-sentence, shouting, “What the f&*k are you doing?”

While Simmons was not seen on-air at the time, her voice could be clearly heard by viewers.

She later apologized on-air saying, “I’m truly sorry.”
