On another note, this cover represents how competitive the celebrity weekly space is. Buying photos is the only way for the mags to distinguish themselves on a week-to-week basis.

Last week, Star’s EIC Candace Trunzo admitted that she pays for stories. If this week’s cover is any indication of that approach, they need to start offering up some more cash!
First off, I feel like I’ve seen this cover story sooooo many times before. What occurred recently that would make the reader think about “Suri’s Strange World?” Did something NEW happen? At first glance, I thought I was looking at a celebrity weekly cover from a year ago.
And then I saw the Brad and Angie inset, and I was certain this was an old cover! Somehow, there was a mix-up at the printer or something. Brad and Angie’s $200 million prenup deal? That story could have run anytime over the past three years.
Oh wait, IT IS a new cover! Jamie Lynn Spears “Hates Her Baby Bump.” This is just simply a mean line and shows how the editors feel about this poor girl who is pregnant at 16 years old. Please, give her a break and show a little compassion!
