Tatum explain to the NY Post that the death of her 16-year-old pooch was too much to handle.

“I lost my Scottish terrier Lena,” three weeks ago.  “That seemed to set me off.”

A very sad day for Tatum O’Neal as we all know.

Tatum O’Neal has been released without bail after her drug arrest in Lower Manhattan. Cops founds two bags of cocaine in O’Neil’s right pants pocket when she was picked up at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The 44-year-old actress looked tired and did not speak as she was arraigned Monday in Manhattan Criminal Court on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Afterward, her lawyer whisked her into a this waiting car, reports the NY Post.

The DA’s office is recommending O’Neal — who has a long history of drug abuse — receive drug treatment.

Many New Yorkers woke up to find this cover sitting at their door.

It appeared that Tatum was cleaning up her act - but it looks like she has taken a step backwards according to the New York Post.

The 44-year-old actress was arrested at 7:30 p.m. by detectives for buying cocaine and crack.

“When the police approached, she asked them, ‘You know who I am, right?” one source told the Post.

“Then she said, ‘I’m researching a part - I’m doing this for a part.”

Very, very sad.
