Tiger Woods’ niece Cheyenne Woods is now the one in the family grabbing headlines.
A freshman at Wake Forest University, Cheyenne has joined their golf team. In her first tournament, the Duramed NCAA Fall Preview in Maryland, Woods and the Demon Deacons finished ninth in a 15-team field. Her three-round score of 225 was good for a tie for 26th out of 75 players.
Congrats to Tiger Woods who announced on his website that he and his wife Elin are expecting their second child.

The team over at Golf.com. According to Mediaweek, the site attracted 1.1 million unique visitors on Monday.
Throughout the five-day event, Golf.com attracted more than 2.2. million uniques, said SI officials.

Tiger is holding his daughter Sam after his “thrilling victory,” reports the NY Post.
“I think this is probably the best ever,” Woods said.
He joins Jack Nicklaus as the only player to win each of the four majors at least three times.

For the second year in a row, Oprah Winfrey is the No. 1 power-player on Forbes magazine’s 2008 Celebrity list.
The magazine said Oprah is “continuing to influence audiences around the world through her vast media empire, which earned her $275 million during the past year.”
Tiger Woods ranked a close second with $115 million, making him the highest-earning athlete in the world.
Forbes bases its rankings largely on celebrity earnings, but also media coverage.
