Charlie Sheen Makes a Ton of Money for Making You Laugh

Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen is the highest-paid comedy actor ($825,000 per episode), and CSI star William Peterson rakes in $600,000 an episode, although he’s leaving the show this season, reports TV Guide.

TV GUIDE: I Saved The Worst for Last

There’s not much to say anymore about TV Guide.

It looks like it’s attempt at going younger with its MIley Cyrus, Denise Richards and Mario Lopez cover did not pay off at the newsstand.

Why?

The past two weeks have gone back to the old TV Guide. From last week’s X-Files’ cover to this week’s Mad Men cover, it’s TV Guide as usual.

WORST CELEBRITY WEEKLY COVERS OF THE WEEK: It’s a Tie Between…

TV Guide’s Miley Cyrus Cover

Life & Style’s Lindsay Lohan Cover

When it comes to TV Guide, I don’t get the direction the magazine is going in. One week it’s the x-Files movie, and the next it’s Miley Cyrus. For my complete critique, click here.

Life & Style’s cover is borderline homophobic. The magazine asks if Linday Lohan is gay? And if she is? Is that a bad thing? Plus, the magazine asks the question, which I mentioned earlier this week, shows that the mag probably doesn’t know the answer.

For the best magazine cover of the week, make the jump!

TV GUIDE CALLS MILEY A MIRACLE?!?

The weekly TV bible is going for a younger audience, which might explain why MIley Cyrus is on the cover this week.

Here’s the problem or problems with this cover.

The main line is terrible. What does “Miracle Miley” mean? I have no idea. Oh wait, maybe she’s got special powers.

Yes. There’s more…

Janice Min’s Us Weekly Loves Reese & Jake: AND THIS WEEK SO DO I

Us Weekly features Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon on its cover looking at trip vacation pics.

Hey, that could be me!

This cover is what Us Weekly is all about.

Stars really are like us. (Bonnie Fuller created that vision for Us Weekly and Janice Min continues to ride on her coattails.)

In the past, I haven’t been a fan of this story because I don’t think a lot of readers are talking about this couple.

But this cover photo is a winner and will walk off the newsstand. And, in the celebrity weekly category newsy photos like this are rare.

On another note, you can tell that the In Touch and Us Weekly did not have strong sales with the Madonna-A-Rod covers from last week.

TV GUIDE COVERS PEOPLE MAGAZINE’S HOTTEST BACHELOR MARIO LOPEZ

Macrovision Solutions Corporation’s TV Guide has officially entered Inside TV land.

The name of the magazine is TV Guide and the cover story subscribers will be receiving is a story about “Hot Bods.”

I’m sure they’ll be thrilled.

This issue will also be on the newsstand next to other celebrity weeklies - which already have cornered the market on these types of covers. You already saw In Touch’s cover earlier today.

Yes, the picture of Mario Lopez and Audrina Partridge is striking. But again, the editors of TV Guide have made some catastrophic decisions in making this its cover. Here’s why this cover will not work:
