HILLARY CLINTON: DID MEDIA’S SEXIST BIAS HURT CAMPAIGN?

Today’s NY Times features a cover story discussing Hillary Clinton’s campaign and whether or not she was the victim of sexist media coverage.

Angered by what they consider biased sexist news coverage of Senator Hilary Clinton’s bid for the Democratic presidential nomination, many women and Clinton supporters are proposing boycotts of the cable networks, putting up videos on a “Media Hall of Shame,” starting a national conversation about sexism and pushing Mrs. Clinton’s rival, Senator Barack Obama, to address the matter, according to the NY Times.

Carey Underwood has been connected to some pretty big hunks from Tony Romo to Chase Crawford.

So how does she get past break-ups?

She says in the current issue of In Style, “I’m a ‘let it go, move on ‘ kind of person.  And ice cream is my friend.

If anybody sees me eating a sundae and I look unhappy, something bad has happened.

I am drowning my sorrows in fudge and caramel and whipped cream.  But then I’m like, ‘New day.’”

Katie Couric says “My girls will not grow up to be snobs,” in the new issue of Quick & Simple.

“I’m trying to raise two girls in a normal way, despite the fact that my life is abnormal in many ways,” Couric says.  “So far, so good.  Knock on wood.  I’m trying to keep them grounded , and give them good values and be a good example.”

Katie, who lost her husband Jay Monahan to colon cancer, talks about how she handles the pressure of a high-profile gig and raising her kids alone.

“And every time I think, ‘Oh woe is me,’ I think of single mothers who work for minimum wage, and have three kids to bathe and feed when they get home from work.  It really puts everything in perspective for me.”
